Dr. Savanna Janssen (formerly Thornton) is a southwest Iowa native & graduate of Bedford High School - Go Bulldogs! She went on to receive her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Central College in Pella, Iowa. While there, she discovered her love for chiropractic after seeing its impact on her overall personal health & well-being, as well as the impact it had on athletic performance for many of the athletes she worked with.

Dr. Savanna received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During her journey through chiropractic school, she found her passion in serving families; but through her own motherhood journey, she's found a love in serving throughout the prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric periods. Dr. Savanna has extensive training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

Dr. Savanna has always known she wanted to return to the area where she was raised. She is passionate about providing healing, health, and hope to the communities and families that supported her & showed her so much love throughout her life. Roots Family Chiropractic has been a long-standing dream of Dr. Savanna's and is now a reality. RFC provides a vessel to deliver health to the community & families that have given her so much.
